Tydzień bez lekarza to tydzień stracony. Jak nie mam jakiejś wizyty, czy badań do odebrania to się czuję dziwnie zdrowa:P Chociaż w przypadku wczorajszej wizyty, to jednak okazuje się, że to ja jestem hipochondryk, bo wyniki są super. Wczoraj miałam umówioną wieki temu wizytę u laryngologa. Ustawiłam sobie przypomnienie w telefonie dzień wcześniej, bo wizyty na NFZ trzeba umawiać z trzy miesięcznym wyprzedzeniem, a przez ten czas człowiek jest w stanie zapomnieć, że mu coś dolega:P A skąd potrzeba takiej wizyty? Przeprowadziłam się na najgłośniejszą ulicę w mieście i po prostu w godzinach zjazdu wszystkich tramwajów do zajezdni nie słyszę własnych myśli, a że zdarza mi się głośno myślec to pomyślałam, że coś jest nie tak;) Miałam to wątpliwe szczęście być ostatnią pacjentką. Może i pani doktor odetchnęła z ulgą, ale nie pani, która robi te dziwne badania. Powyzywały się przy mnie. Do tego pielęgniarka nie omieszkała rzucić parę tekstów pod adresem pani doktor przy mnie, po czym zaczęła mi tłumaczyć na czym badanie ma polegać, zakładając jednocześnie na uszy dość szczelne słuchawki. No i zaczęło się ogłuszanie. Jak natężenie dźwięku było bliskie moim tramwajom zdziwiona zapytała lekkim krzykiem, czy naprawę nic nie słyszę. Jak nie! Głuchy by usłyszał i z pretensjami, że przecież miałam mówić TAK jak zacznę słyszeć dany dźwięk. Ehhhh, to widocznie było to co mi umknęło w momencie gdy mi założyła słuchawki na uszy. Ale wolałam tego nie skomentować, w obawie przed tym, że mi zapoda jakieś ultradźwięki, których moje bębenki nie przeżyją. Później jedyne TAK powtórzone z 20 razy średnio co 2sek. Jak gra na refleks jakiś:) I diagnoza - wszystko w normie, czyli słyszalność w granicach 10-20dB. Oznacza to, ze kiedyś musiałam mieć chyba słuch absolutny, skoro ja czuję, że słuszę gorzej. Ach - żegnaj kariero muzyka! A nie słyszę, bo - i tu cytat - "mogę być przemęczona, osłabiona, nieskoncentrowana, czy po prostu nie zainteresowana słuchaczem". A więc niepotrzebne skreślić i jak ktoś do mnie coś mówi to się zastanowić najpierw:P A tak serio to przyczyna jest troszkę inna, ale co tam. Aaaa i magnez mam brać. Magnez jest dobry na wszystko - czyżby jakaś akcja była ogólnopolska - bierz magnez, będziesz słyszał, pozbędziesz się depresji, będziesz zmotywowany, będzie Ci się lepiej spało itp? Może warto zrobić reklamę!

Barbara has a new hobby

I wish I lived or worked closer to the airport. I think I can be there every day now:) I have planned this trip since a very long time and finally yesterday I managed to realize my plan. Well, I was so close from not to go anywhere as it was raining all afternoon. But I did it:) I have found the best spotters places around Balice airport in Krakow, checked how to get there by bike, I noted the take off/landing schedule and I started cycling. Of course I left home a bit late so I really had to rush. Well it was "only" 15km so not so far. But, how smart of me, I realized the time of the plane flying above my head from the perfect spot will be few minutes before the actuall landing. What's more I did not checked the airline. So I aimed to be there at 6.15pm and I saw from the distance the plane coming. First I was to afraid too enter the highway (even for 100m as I was supposed to turn right after) so I had to make a U-turn and find another place. Then it turned out that the first plane was Ryanair and everyone knows that ryainer always overestimate the time so they can boost that they are always on time. So 6.08pm when it flew 100m away from me. Then I realized that it was the only one landing withing next two hours:P But there were some take offs so I moved to a new spot - perfect place for panning. And this is my new hobby. Spotting combined with panning! Panning is a ptechnique that allows to capture an objet during a movement and make it sharp while blurring the background. It is possible by moving the camera horizontally in the same direction as moving object (I am pretty sure that google or wikipedia will explain that to you better - I still have to read more about that and get a proper tripod - better than my bike's seat:P). So I tried with the planes that were taking off but they were too slow. Anyway I was busy with practicing on cars and I can say that I can apply for a photoradar positions:P On some of them you can see faces:) When I was about to leave as waiting 1,5h for one landing was a bit too long for me for planes landing/taking off. It seems that there is a secret schedule;) I also forgot that this was initially a military aiport so still some military planes lands there. And there was also a helicopter, not mentioning the perfect sun set. I love planes!!!!! I think I should look for a job near the airport or move back to Edinburgh and EAT;). I can also consider leaving close to the airport as the noise the planes make is not as frequent and only a bit louder as the one caused by the trams!!!! I am looking forward to my "holidays" and future trips. Eindhoven and London Standsted airports are the next destinations:) I have also read yesterday that Gdansk is preparing a platform for spotters. How nice of them:) Anyone in for a trip to the Polish seaside??? :)

Barbara decides to become a spotter

Some of you should remember that in Amsterdam I was always talking about going to the airport and taking pictures of planes during their take off. Due to some reasons this plan was not realized. Neither in Amsterdam, nor anywhere else. Till last weekend. It all started few days before when I bought a photo magazine and where they named people like me - spotters - those who are waiting for occassions and photographing landing or taking off planes. They also mentioned that airports in Poland - Balice and Pyrzowice are very spotters friendly. Well, if you know where to go, probably that's true:) I had perfect chance last weekend to shoot some photos as I had friends from Amsterdam visiting me. Katowice aiport is better adjust as anyone can see the runway from the car park. Moreover in one of those airport builletin they had an article with marked places perfect for plane shooting:) In Krakow it is not so easy but my friends promised to show me one spot:) I am looking forward. But first I need to check the schedule as planes in Krakow do not land as often as in Amsterdam and I would not like to go there and wait hours to take a pics:P That article also mentioned airports in Germany and Switzerland as friendly to photographers so you might see me there:)
